Preparations at Base
We have been having a great time on the base here, we aren’t leaving for ministry until Friday so we get to hang out and spend time together and have some incredible time with God. We have all already got so much from God and it’s been an incredible time of preparation for our trip to the bush.
We met the team from Florida yesterday, they are so great! Very very funny, we spent a couple of hours during dinner laughing and copying each others accents, and trying to work out what an American biscuit is (we still aren’t sure as they eat it with gravy for breakfast, huh?)
We have orientation in about 20 minutes, then we are having lunch (nshima and cabbage, which is a sticky mash/rice thing that you squeeze and scoop up cabbage with mmm.)
After lunch we will be going to see Victoria falls with our team and then come back to pack and get ready for our expedition.
It may be about 8 days now until our next blog as we won’t have any internet while we’re out on expedition. We are all doing great, no heat stroke or anything, just a couple of sore legs from our hike down the gorge!
